Joseph R. Dasta
We are pleased to announce that Joseph Robert Dasta has become a shareholder of the firm. Mr. Dasta joined the firm in 1997 and works primarily in the Columbia office. He practices in the areas of automobile accidents, workers' compensation, wrongful death, premises liability and all forms of personal injury as well as handling litigation in both Circuit Court and Federal Court. Mr. Dasta graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina in May, 1990, with a Bachelor of Science, Criminal Justice and received his J. D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1994. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1994 and the United States District Court, District of South Carolina in 1998.
Mr. Dasta is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, the Injured Workers' Advocates, and the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Educational Association. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association and its Professional Responsibility Committee, and the Richland and Kershaw County Bar Associations. Mr. Dasta was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Army Reserves in 1990 and has served in the Army Reserves ever since. He is a Major and is assigned to a Judge Advocate General's Unit, the 12th Legal Support Organization, at Fort Jackson.
