L. Lisa McPherson
Personal Injury Attorney L. Lisa McPherson, an associate with McWhirter,
Bellinger, and Associates, joined the firm in early 2006. She primarily
works in the Lexington office and practices in all areas of Personal
Injury, including automobile accidents and wrongful death, and in the
area of Nursing Home Litigation. Ms. McPherson is a Cum Laude graduate
of the University of South Carolina where she received her B.A. in
English in 1982. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University
of South Carolina School of Law in 1986 and was admitted to the South
Carolina Bar that same year.
While a law student at the University of South Carolina, Ms. McPherson was a law clerk for both Nauful and Ellis, P. A., in Columbia and the Office of Senate Research. Immediately following law school, she served until 1987 as law clerk to the Honorable C. Victor Pyle, Jr., Circuit Judge for the Thirteenth Circuit, and from 1987 until mid 1993, she prosecuted major crimes as an Assistant Solicitor for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. From mid 1993 until late 2004, Ms. McPherson was a sole practitioner in Lexington, during which time she was admitted to the United States District Court and during which she, from 1996 to 1998, had the honor of serving part-time as a Municipal Court Judge for the City of Columbia. From late 2004 until early 2006, she proudly served as an Assistant Public Defender for Lexington County. Ms. McPherson has extensive trial and negotiating experience and is a member of the Lexington County Bar Association, the South Carlina Bar Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
