South Carolina Personal Injury Lawyer Stephen B. Samuels, an associate with McWhirter, Bellinger & Associates, joined the firm in 1998. He works in the Lexington and Sumter offices and practices in the areas of automobile accidents, workers' compensation, wrongful death, premises liability and all forms of personal injury. He received his B.S. from the University of North Carolina in 1983 and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1997. As a law student, he was a member of the Order of Wig and Robe, associate symposium editor for the South Carolina Law Review, and vice president of the Federalist Society. Mr. Samuels was research assistant for Professor David G. Owen, coauthor of Prosser and Keeton on Torts.As Professor Owen's assistant, he did extensive research for Professor Owen's casebook, Products Liability and Safety, 3rd Edition. Mr. Samuels was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1997 and the South Carolina Bar in 1998. He is a member of the American and South Carolina Trial Lawyers Associations, the Association of South Carolina Claimant Attorneys for Workers' Compensation and the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Education Association. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, its Continuing Legal Education Committee, its Torts and Insurance Practice, Trial and Appellate Advocacy and Workers' Compensation sections and the Lexington and Richland County Bar Associations. Mr. Samuels is a member of the Federalist Society and a former member of Leadership Lexington County.
