McWhirter, Bellinger & Associates, P.A. is proud to support The Animal Mission. The Animal Mission is a South Carolina based 501(c)(3) charitable organization committed to providing free or low cost spay and neuter procedures for all pet owners in our area, in an effort to help achieve ‘No-Kill’ status for our local municipal shelters. Originally established as a ‘Friend of the Shelter’ organization in 1991, we refocused our mission in 2006 to target the shelter’s severe overcrowding situation (and euthanasia rate of over 80%) via an aggressively-funded spay/neuter initiative. This group of American Legion members ride their motorcycles to raise money for children’s hospitals, schools, veteran homes, severely wounded service members and scholarships. Dickerson Children's Advocacy Center

Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center

McWhirter, Bellinger & Associates, P.A. is proud to support the Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center. The Center works with children affected by physical and sexual abuse, drug endangerment, and the witnessing of violence. They provide a safe and caring environment where children and their non-abusive parent(s) or guardians can receive services and emotional support under one roof. The Center is a child-focused facility that provides forensic interviews, forensic medicals, mental health and victim advocate services to victims of child abuse between the ages of 0 to 18. Providing these services in a single location can help alleviate additional stress and trauma that that these children can experience by moving between agencies. PAALS

McWhirter, Bellinger & Associates, P.A. is proud to support Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services (PAALS). PAALS trains animals to assist people with varying abilities to live more independent and enriched lives by providing them with assistance dogs. Some of their specially trained canines are taught to turn lights on and off, tug open doors, pick up dropped items and alert for help to assist individuals in wheelchairs. This organization provides free programs and services to address the needs of wounded warriors and fill gaps in government care. The demand for their programs and services has grown from serving a handful of injured veterans to now serving tens of thousands, and they continue to receive hundreds of new registrations from injured veterans, their families, and caregivers each month. Kids’ Chance of South Carolina

Kids’ Chance was created to provide scholarships and support for college and vocational students whose parents have been fatally or catastrophically injured in a work-related accident. PETSinc.

McWhirter, Bellinger & Associates, P.A. is proud to support PETSinc.. A no kill shelter in West Columbia, SC who have helped 80,000 animals find a home. On top of being a shelter, PETSinc. also has a cheap shots clinic open on Saturdays, and have started a rehabilitation program for animals who need extra care. Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels delivers food for individuals who are 60 and older, home-bound, or unable to prepare a meal or get to a meal site. A five day frozen meal plan is available for those able to use a microwave or an oven to heat their meals. This service is volunteer dependent and meals are delivered on weekdays during lunch hours. UMCSC in Ghana

We are proud to announce our continuing support for The Orangeburg Ghana Technology Project. The technology center has made some big steps in the last few months and we are excited to say that it now has a roof. The funding for the project goes towards building the technology center and filling it with 40 computer stations, an adult library, and a children’s library. The power source in Ghana is unreliable so the technology center will also need a generator to power the equipment and other basic electrical commodities. Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

McWhirter, Bellinger & Associates, P.A., is proud to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the leading organization funding Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) research. Red Cross for SC Flood Victims

What a tragic October this has been for many of our neighbors who have endured the recent floods. Tommy Bellinger presented a check to the staff of the Red Cross to help with their efforts. The Red Cross was here to help with our disaster and has provided thousands with needed food and shelter. We are proud to give back to our community by contributing to their cause.


Summer Celebration of Water

We are happy to support the City of Columbia’s Summer Celebration of Water. This is a free family-friendly festival that lets you try canoeing, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding in the Columbia Canal. You can also learn to fish and see the Columbia Fired Department demonstrate a water rescue.


Kershaw County Relay for Life
